SAM (Single Access Monitor)
Asset Protection System
The SAM (Single Access Monitor) provides access/egress management and control for assets and/or personnel using an external device interface (EDI) to fire alarms, magnetic locks, cameras, etc. for access protection.
Components of the SAM System:

ATS3-A or B transmitters are affixed to assets using a high polymer resin sticky back.
The SAM readers are placed at critical egress points using a screw mount or sticky-back and plugged into the nearest 110 or 220 Volt AC outlet.
The SAM readers are calibrated for a read distance using the trim pot located on the face of the reader.
The reader's external device cable is connected to an external device such as a door lock, audible alarm, light, camera etc.
As a tagged item comes into the adjusted read range, the SAM receives the tag's signal causing an output relay to be activated and fires the external device. This product is protected upder Patent No: 6,700,493

Asset Protection System
The Sovereign Audio Visual Module (AVM) is a comprehensive alarming device that can produce a visual and/or audible notification. The AVM is designed to accept either normally opened or normally closed dry contact closures. The AVM is a self-contained unit with its own wall-mounted power pack.
Master Power Supply
The Master Power Supply provides operating current for up to 32 Transceiver modules. The power provides the PalTrack system with low voltage 24Vdc. The Master Power Supply using its UPS interface can sustain the operation of the PalTrack network system between 6 12 hours if facility AC power is interrupted. Transceiver/Reader
The transceiver receives and stores the transmitter data until it receives a request from the PalTrack server. When the server requests the data it is sent to the server via the RS485 network. Each transceiver is designed with external communication capabilities. The standard I/O port provides the capability to interface with and activate external devices such as audible alarms, security cameras and more. The transceiver has an active antenna which is based on a single chip ASK (Amplitude Shift Key) receiver IC. The anti-jam receiver offers an exceptionally high level of integration and performance. The unique architecture enables data rates up to 50 kb/s to be supported. The active antenna complies with all low power radio regulations, including ETSI-ETS 300 220 and FCC part 15 for ease of supportability.The active antenna is designed as a "Plug-n-Play" interface to the transceiver. This feature allows easy conversion for supporting frequencies of 418 and 433.92 MHz. The transceiver is FCC, CE, C-Tick and CSA compliant. This device is protected under Patent 6,700,493
The ATS3-A Transmitter is the smallest multi functional transmitter in the industry 65mm X 30 mm X 9.3 mm. The transmitter can be offered in two configurations 418 MHz or 433.92 MHz. The transmitter provides the user with low interference thresholds, full performance capabilities for 5,400,000 transmits (approximately 2 to 4 years depending on transmit rate). Each transmitter is equipped with a removal alert status and when affixed to an asset or personnel will signal an alert for any unauthorized removal. The PalTrack ATS3-A Transmitter is FCC approved and CSA, CE, C-Tick compliant. The ATS3-A is protected under patent 6,700,493.
ATS3-A Transmitter Tag
The ATS3-B Transmitter contains all of the enhancements in the ATS3-A with the addition of a single data input port. This status input port feature in conjunction with a Sovereign custom interface module can provide status detection of any tagged item. Custom interface modules can be designed to meet customer specifications by Sovereign or if preferred the customer can develop their own interface providing it meets the Sovereign protocol format. Having the flexibility to monitor items, while at the same time providing its location information, adds a vital tool to your application. Some application examples of the ATS3-B are: detecting when an asset is on or off, asset error detection, asset preventative maintenance alert, over/under temperature status, humidity alert, etc. The application examples presented are only a fraction of the possibilities. The ATS3-B Transmitters are the smallest multi function transmitters providing auxiliary asset status detection in the industry. The ATS3-B measures 65 mm x 30 mm x 9.3 mm. The transmitter can be offered in two frequencies 418 MHz or 433.92 MHz. Its RF output is less than a 100 µw.
